Summer in January

It is a whopping 42 degrees here today and I'm loving it! Our backyard "tubing" hill is melting, but it is great snow sculpting weather so the kids are now channeling their energies to snow fort construction. Here is the finished painting from Monday's sneak peek. I told you I am already thinking summer, even though my 8-year-old informed us that he wants to move to Antarctica.

So Monet! The light on the single front blossom is wonderful!

Heh heh, love that your kid wants to move to Antartica. Have you heard of the picture book "My Penguin Osbert'? It is so cute (with awesome illustrations) reminded me of your boy. It's one of our faves.

Nancy I just love your style. This painting is so romantic and soft. It's luscious. :)

Beautiful painting, Nancy:)) Have you seen Monet's waterlilies? I saw them when I was a kid.

Tell your son that my bro-in-law has done "Operation Deep Freeze" twice now with the AF. They fly in and do missions in Antarctica--pretty cool!!
